I know I would have no problem getting it fixed or replaced.My kids love watching this in the van when ever we go somewhere. Great DVD Player. Also,the screen that plays the DVD lost its sound and I could no longer hear anything unless I used the headphones. I am not worried if anything happens later on because Mustek has wonderful customer service. Easy to see in the sunlight also. This happened about 3 months after I bought it.
I highly recommend this DVD player. I have had some issues with the wiring but when I called Mustek they had awesome customer service and sent me all new cables at no cost. Even my 3 year old knows how to work it with no trouble. Mustek replaced the player at no cost to me in a very timely manner. I have now had it for about a year and have had no additional problems. Great sound and video quality too.
I tracked this system down specifically for its ability to play Divx, XVid, or MPEG4. Also includes two earplug earphones that were too big for my four year old's ears. One of my movies had AC3 sound and, of course, that didn't work.So I installed and got the LCD's nice and snug on the headrests and off we went to visit Granny.
On all of the movies I tried the aspect ratio was compressed top to bottom with black bars. I returned the system today for a full refund. I put several movies on a DVD and I was able to view the directory structure and choose the title I wanted to play.
About half way there the unit stopped reading discs. The LCD has two choices for aspect ratio neither of which helped. Regular DVD's play and display fine so it's something about the MPEG4 rendering.
I will be ordering another from an online vendor at a better price with hopes that the failure was an anomally.Includes an A/C adaptor and a rechargable battery unit that attaches to the player. :)
